As the year of 2011 closed down those who really care about the music starts to analyse and reflects about all the music that they have been listening to throughout the whole 12 calendar months. And of course one thing comes up to everybody minds is what has been the best Album of 2011. This year we have seen the undercover music becoming our mainstream music especially with the growth of social networks being at it highest level of usage as ever this meant that people were no longer relying on Television Music feeding but people were browsing for some brilliant undercover talents out there. 20: WRETCH 32 - BLACK AND WHITE
Black and White album by Wretch 32; has to be the best Grime/Pop album of 2011 by our opinion...the album has brought us some good a** songs such as: Traktor, Don't Go, Unothordox, Underdog Law and Black, and the Album featured some brilliant upcoming British talents such as; Example, Delilah, Emili Sande, Josh Kumra..It was really a good debut album by the British rapper Wretch 32. Let's hope that he brings another good album this year

19. DAVID GUETTA - NOTHING BUT THE BEAT
The International Hitmaker David Guetta blessed 2011 with a non-stopping club bangers in the Nothing but the Beats albumThe album produced some number one smashing hits such as: Sweat, Little Bad Girl, Where them Girls at, Without You and more. The album also enlists the likes of Timbaland, Will.i.am., Lil Wayne, Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, Usher, Chris Brown, Akon..and more..
18. COLDPLAY - MYLO XYLOTO
The album titled Mylo Xyloto apparantly has no meaning, it's just any random phrase/ words that the band picked up...but unfortunately the album wasn't as random as the album title. As always Coldplay did produce another classic album in their album collections; The best song in the album without a doubt has to be the number one chart hit; Paradise:
17. BEN HOWARD - EVERY KINGDOM
The Devon (U.K.) singer Ben Howard released his debut album Every Kingdom in October 2011, the album peaked to number 7 and it was given great credits for its originality. The folk Rock album features the number hit Keep your head up and the masterpiece song The Fear..:
16. M83 - HURRY UP, WE'RE DREAMING
M83 is a French collective of 5 musicians: Anthony Gonzalez, Yann Gonzalez, Morgan Kibby, Loïc Maurin, and Jordan Lawlor. Basically I got introduced to this amazing album literally few weeks ago..and I am going to hang onto this album throughout year of 2012 because it is by far the best chillwave genre album which I have heard from a very long time. And don't forget to listen to their anthem Midnight City below the song was featured as the main soundtrack of the television series of Made in Chelsea. My other favourite songs in the album are; Steve McQueen and Reunion but overall the album is GREAT.
15. NERO - WELCOME REALITY
Welcome reality is the first released album by the UK dubstep act NERO. The album was released in 12 August. Especially with the growth of the dubstep genre in the music industry right now...This album couldn't been released at the right time. The album contains some serious dubstep anthem which is quaranteen to get your heart pumping for a good 60 mins. The album features the number 1 UK chart single; Me & You. It also features other good dubstep songs such as Innocence which is a massive dubstep anthem. And another song Doomdays, Crush on You, Reaching out, Promises, Guilt and more..Listen to the album mix on the youtube link below:
14. MAYBACH MUSIC GROUP (RICK ROSS, WALE, MEEK MILL, TRIPLE C'S) - SELF MADE Vol 1
Well, well..what more can I say about this group...they have really taken 2011 by storm. The Miami street hip hop influenced group of Rick Ross, Wale, Meek Mill and Triple C's gave us a classic album in 2011. The album included some really hustling anthem such as Imma Boss, 600 Benz, Tupac Back!, Pandemonium and more.
13. CHRIS BROWN - F.A.M.E.
Chris Brown dedicated this album to both his fans and enemies (F.A.M.E. = Forgive All My Enemies, Fan Are My Everything) .. The album bought such a heavy headlines to the music industry especially after the Rihanna incident a lot of people did believed that Chris Brown wouldn't make music again but this album was a perfect response to all that doubted him and put him into that quiter box. The album produces such anthem tracks such as Deuces, Look at me Now, Yeah x3 and the club banger Beautiful People. The album also featured some hip hop heavyweights such as Busta Rhymes, The Game, Lil Wayne and more...:
12. GIL SCOTT-HERON & JAMIE XX -WE'RE NEW HERE
The XX finest producer Jamie xx produced a pure sensentional album in the memory of the famous soul singer Gil Heron-Scott. The album was obviously influenced by both world of Dubstep and Soul music and the result of it, its pure magic in the ears. Listen to the track below.
11. TYLER THE CREATOR - GOBLIN
The wrecked head, rules breaker Tyler the Creator who burst through the music industry last year with his LA collective OFWGKTA (Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All) did quickly produced a album which had no rules..in facts the album was encourage people to go burn their schools, f*** people...but apart from all these rule breaking explicit and the negativities. The artist himself contains some crazy meaningful lyrics which will make you like him. And he's visualy crazy creative..his video of Yonkers was named as one the best video of 2011 music videos. 10. LIL WAYNE - THA CARTER 4
After a long time out off the music scenes due to his bad boy behaving which ended him up into 12 months prisonated. But the so called The Best Rapper Alive, Lil Wayne returned to the music scene with the follow up the fourth edition of The Carter album. He once again did sold 1 Million of the album copies in the opening week of his album releases, which made the only Hip Hop artist to ever to that. The album contains some good tracks like: 6 Foot 7 Foot, She Will, John, Mirror and How to Love.
9. COMMON - THE DREAMER/ THE BELIEVER
The return of the greatest Hip Hop poet; Common, he returned to the music industry with The Dreamer/ The Believer. The album didn't really get much attention commercially, but music wise this album was closed to be the best Hip Hop album of 2011, The album contain that old school hip hop flavour. 8 BON IVER- BON IVER (ALBUM)
7. SBTKRT ALBUM
The SBTKRT last year produced one of the most original sounds of dubstep/ chillwave album I have ever heard. The album was soo good that it was mentioned as the album of year but some of the musicians such as Cassie, Kendrick Lamar, Diddy etc..
6. KENDRICK LAMAR - SECTION 80
Some will say that Section 80 sould've been ranked as number 1 on our album of Year, because the album is the definition of a dopeness hip hop music. And the artist himself Kendrick Lamar did get a lot of praises from other big hip hop artists such as Jay-Z, Dr. Dre, P.Diddy etc..and they all felt like he's next in line to be one of the greatest rapper to be. 5. J.COLE - COLEWORLD, THE SIDELINE STORY
Some said that it was a ColeWorld last year due to this album by J.Cole. The RocNation signee J.Cole showed to Hip Hop what he's capable of in his debut album of ColeWorld: The Sideline story. The album was such a success, it was recieved well both commercially and independent.
4. DRAKE - TAKECARE
Young Money's very own Drake, told his broken hearted story in this the album of TakeCare..which was the third best selling album of 2011. Listen to his heartbroken song Marvin's Room below:
3. JAY-Z & KANYE WEST - WATCH THE THRONE

2. FRANK OCEAN - NOSTALGIA, ULTRA
One of the member of the California collective OFWGKTA. Frank Ocean Produced this masterpiece album which was really out of this world. Listen to his song Novacane below
1. THE WEEKND - HOUSE OF BALLONS
This Toronto dude has to the fresh breath of the RnB genre. The Weeknd who I discovered his music back in January 2011, until this day on I still listen to this album/mixtape as if it was the first time Listening to it. The Weeknd and his toronto crew XO has really taken the RnB music genre to another level, they gave three episodes of the Balloons albums; House of Balloons, Thursday and Echoes of Silence, but our favourite of course has to be: House Of Balloons. because all of the songs in this album got our rating of 10/10. and we put this album in the same catagory with the other greatest album ever to be produced.
